What does freedom sound like?
Tell us why you feel inclusion is important. Have you found your freedom? Are you striving or struggling within your community? Has your experience been one of acceptance or silence? We welcome anyone who supports the mission of br{ache the silence to share their personal experiences of homophobic discrimination or intimidation, pushing past the pain, embracing change and finding freedom from the inside, out. All allies are encouraged to share their stories as every experience, witness, and voice of support is relevant to gaining inclusivity. Some say you can't change the world with words, but we can at least make a dent.

Submission Guidelines
  • Written Stories (1000 words or less)
  • Please include your name, city and affiliation/company/school
  • If you work or participate in athletics, please provide your sport of participation and position(ex: Men's Polo Head Coach)
  • Please include a photo (less than 1MB)
  • Submit story above, or email story to share@freedomsounds.org
  • Place story in the body of your email
  • By sharing your story, you grant all rights to Freedom Sounds for the benefit of those who visit this website and to further support the efforts of this campaign.

  • Create a YouTube account to upload your video
  • Title your video "Br{ache the Silence"
  • Include your name, city and affiliation/company/school
  • If you work or participate in athletics, please provide your sport of participation and position (ex: Women's Basketball student-athlete)
  • Email video link to share@freedomsounds.org
