The challenge remains to come out all the time.... It's something we all must do in our personal and professional lives --
come out every day and not shy away from it.

Organize a Campus Initiative
Community: n. a unified body of individuals

Our passion lies in the connections we form with the community. Whether online or on campus, we hope to create an integrated athletic community in which student-athletes, coaches, administrators and allies can openly express their sexual orientation and gender identity without intimidation, the threat of retaliation or sabotage. Our inclusion events aim to engage the athletic department through panel discussions, small groups and inspiring speakers to cultivate mutual support between the LGBTQ and athletic communities.

Student-Athletes and Allies
Student-athletes face many challenges while striving to meet the daily expectations of academic and athletic achievement – homophobia should not be one of them. We seek to host an inclusion event within every athletic department while identifying an ally from each sports team to serve as an advocacy leader and supporter to those struggling to find a safe space within the intercollegiate athletic community.
Coaches and Administrators
As a major part of the inspiration for br{ache the silence, coaches and administrators deal with a unique set of challenges effecting the expression of their sexual orientation and gender identity. Antigay recruiting tactics and subtle forms of homophobia can be devastating. Our campus education includes consulting and programming initiatives designed to address the needs of athletic staff and administration both individually and collectively.
